I’m not a sommelier and am not in the wine industry. But wine is my life’s passion, and I’m continually trying to study and learn about it (and, of course, drink it) as much as I possibly can. My formal studies are through the Wine & Spirits Education Trust (WSET) program, through which I obtained my Intermediate Certificate (with Distinction) in mid-2011 and my Advanced Certificate (with Distinction) in early 2012. I have been following your reviews and I am enjoying them. I just moved to a new town and went into my local LCBO (Ontario) just to get familiar, and now, to build a shopping list from your reviews.
As you’ve been kind in sharing your knowledge, I’d like to share with you as a new fellow WordPress blogger. XoXoXocai.wordpress.com – your emails give away your entire post, and you recently wrote how well you do on views. Have us read your reviews online vs. in your email.
There’s a button called “More” in the text box. You can add a line where you want it to break when it sends by email, as well as posts to your home page. This will help improve the readers experience with Pop n Pour, and give a truer reflection to you on how many of us enjoy reading your reviews. I find myself clicking on the headline to have a better read on your site.

Thanks! I’m certainly a fan of the wine and cheese combo but don’t think I have quite the grounding on the cheese side to make it an addition to the blog. Maybe down the road though!

Oh, of course. I do adore fine, artisan / Euro cheeses. Reading through your wine reviews, I was constantly thinking of this or that cheese (aged manchego with the Rioja Reserva, por supuesto). Great blog! Best – Shanna
