Great comments Heather! If this wine was ten bucks where I lived I think I would buy a truckload of it… For your sulfite sensitivity, do you find it helps at all to pour the wine and let it stand for 15 minutes or so before drinking it? Some wines are dosed with SO2 right before bottling to kill any lingering bacteria and keep the wine as oxygen-free as possible, but most of that should dissipate over time once the wine is exposed to air. Wow! So impressed! A wine that my husband & I BOTH enjoyed!! I picked the bottle simply because of the marketing signage about the vineyard & their awards. I wasn’t totally prepared to purchase it (only $9.99 at my local upscale grocery market) until I spoke with the gent at the wine desk. Before I said a word, he let loose with the RAVE review!! He finished by saying it was quite dry (pleasant surprise). I was still skeptical b/c of the screw cap, but a skeptic no more! The only drawback, for me, is the sulfite level. Due to my sulfite sensitivity, It resulted in complete nasal congestion within 5 minutes. That’s a real bummer for enjoying wines!
